Hey guys!  It’s Taco Tuesday, a time to celebrate and eat delicious Mexican cuisine.  Add a little zest to your work week while dining it at these local restaurants.

Johnny Sanchez

If you happen to be in the CBD, mosey on over to Johnny Sanchez.  Enjoy $2 tacos all day long or stop by for happy hour to drink half-off margaritas.  For my guacamole lovers, their version is creamy and made to order.  If you like ceviche, order the Yellow Tail Ceviche.  Its fresh and zesty flavors will certainly appease your taste buds with every bite.

El Gato Negro

Premium food and delicious cocktails are reasons to check El Gato Negro.  With three locations, El Gato Negro offers a relaxing atmosphere without all the craze and rowdiness.  Their food menu is pretty extensive, which is one of the reasons why I always go back to try something new.  Although El Gato Negro does not offer a special menu on Tuesdays, you will enjoy your dining experience and always go back for more.

The Rum House

Need a place to escape from the ordinary and free your inner beach bum?  Rum House is the spot!  Get ready to laugh with friends and family and indulge in Caribbean styled tacos that will sizzle your spirit.  My favorite taco at Rum House is the Drewbrees, a taco filled with French fries smothered with brisket debris, queso, and pico.  Talk about comfort food for the soul.  I normally pair my Drewbrees with a Fruit Twist Margarita. Next time, I may order the The Don Dada or Mr. Biggs Margarita to spice up the night.

There are plenty of places in NOLA to go for Taco Tuesday.  What’s your favorite spot to go to kick off the festivities?
